Well IGN just released their reviews.... 8.3 for PC and 8.1 for 360 and PS3

I was hoping it would be higher but as long as I enjoy it oh well.

I just read it and am disapointed by the MP comments again -- I'm seeing bland comment after bland comment on the MP which is a bad sign - -

The multiplayer suite sticks with the basics, which makes it hard to distinguish from other shooters. There are basic modes such as deathmatch and capture point mode, as well a 16-player Armored Front mode that features two suits of power armor. However, it feels like it's missing features and options from the first game, such as the bullet-time pick up that became the focal point of battles. The multiplayer feels well balanced and capable of providing competitive matches, but it's not as full-featured or as expansive as multiplayer found in other games, which will impact its ability to draw and sustain a community of players.

Every MP review is saying that MP is bland aside from Armored Front. So maybe everyone will just play Armored Front and Monolith will make more maps for it.

You know what gets me, in every game that has a DM/TDM mode, those are the modes that are most played as far as I can tell. I enjoy those modes more, though AF looks badass.

I bet the hardcore FEAR fans will really like the multiplayer. It will probably be one of those underrated games that people just don't appreciate.

I hope thats it. May have to rely on upcoming DLC to bolster it up a bit based on review comments so far.

If its disappointing...what the hell are we going to play? Banjo and Kazooie? There's no other decent FPS on the radar for like 500 years..... I'll be dead of FPS withdrawl by the time Modern Warfare II comes out.

Please don't suck...Please don't suck....

GameSpot gives it a 7/10.

Haven't really trusted GameSpot since the whole Kane & Lynch debacle, and they do tend to underrate good games, but I usually agree with their reviews, so this is a bit troubling. "The cool melee attacks of the first F.E.A.R. are gone" made me lol, though.

X-play is usually on the mark. Adam Sessler hates all the "handshakes" that go on between Reviewers and Publishers, ala Kane and Lynch. he usually gives it straight up.

Yeah, slow mo DM and TDM were wicked. Too bad no one ever played them, though.

Dayum. Whenever I go on F.E.A.R. MP I'm lucky if I see one slow-mo server running. D:

Crap...seems like we're on the verge of total mediocrity in volume now...

"F.E.A.R. 2's multiplayer component also feels like filler, and though we've come to expect online play from most of our shooters, there's nothing special about this suite of lackluster options".

--- All the market research, control groups, hords of pressers, brigades of hands-on previewing, volume of fan-input collected, all on top of a long delay from last Oct that presumably lent improvement to the game to bring it up to "lackluster" standards?

I can justify dismisisng one or two major review sources...but there's too many that can't all be skewed?

I just don't get it, the AF gametype looks freaking sweet. Well, if anyone wants to rock some files or original, feel free to add me on Live, gamertag lily has a rose.

A 7.0/10 from GS, LOL!!.. That's pathetic compared to what F.E.A.R. scored on PC in 2005. a 9+/10.

It clearly seems to be getting average "good" reviews.. nothing outstanding really. I totally expected this.
