as said, an alternative story just harm the hole FEAR universe we allready live in... it should follow the HL universes road and not just totally twist it, thats now how "we" older FPS are used to get told the story differently... the sequel should update or tell the story at a later time and not reject XP and PM.

No, don't do anything like HL did. Alternate sytroyies don't harm the story. It allwos you to explore alternative twists while still allowing you to purise the main turn of events.

This is not HL.

The end of extraction point was very intriuging and haunting. With the whole dead city, you couldn't help but wonder what was out there.

FEARs story was vry itnersting, no doubt it, but plungin us into the a whole deas city will be incredible.

And we have all (not "we" as in us two, fox and vixen) come to an understanding that Extraction Point is not canon? Perseus Mandate isn't cannon either. (Unless you all changed your minds while we were't looking?)

Half-Life/ Half-Life 2 made a jump in timeframe and into near future sorta setting. The two of us can't really grasp of how this can be compared too with F.E.A.R. (Unless your compare G-man with Alma... Still can't grasp that either.)

who's the guy communcating with him?
and if the game begins about 30 minutes before the original F.E.A.R. ends

The main character for Project Origin is that Michael Beckett. Delta Squad person who was taken to a hospital because of the nuclear esplosion injuries and we think the needle thingy is something that has to do with the guy getting slow mo reflex. The project was overseen by Gieniviene Aristide. (Or whatchamacall her name, the women who opened up the Vualt that one time) Who was interested in having another subject like the Point Man we guess. The man communicating with you is probably another Delta Squadron guy who survived the baddies cleaning out the hospital and killing everybody, patients, orderlies and other Delta Squad dudes.

Correct us if we're wrong.

i think wats in the needle is the point man's dna. (would make sense if it is)

some more questions:

will A. Shepherd (the main coordinator for the Delta Force team) and the senator be in the game?

Yurei, is he [A. Shepherd] a reference to the Half-Life series?

Please dont compare FEAR to the HL series. It's like comparing beer to a flat soda.

I'd take flat soda over beer any day. Too much beer will make you sick/vomit.
I wasn't comparing anything.
Adrien Shepherd is a character in one of the HL games. A. Shepherd is another character in F.E.A.R.
Coincidence?

That'd be great, thanks!
It seems kinda weird though... A. Shepherd [FEAR] and Adrien Shepherd [Half-Life]

Hi there, i'm new to the forums and i'd like to know one thing. Will the original character from F.E.A.R known as the "Point man" be showing up in Project Origin at all? I know that you aren't the point man but a Delta Force surviver. I'm sure alot of people will agree with me saying that it wont feel the same, playing as a different character. Will the Point man apear to save your life? To explain things to you? Thats all i want to know. P.S Sorry if this is in the wrong section or if i'm not suppose to be asking this sort of question.

Welcome to the forums!
You can ask anything you'd like.
To answer your question, we[the gamers] are unsure if the Pointman will be returning at this point.

Default Concerning those vehicles

I don't know which magazine it mentioned but they spoke about the ability that Michael Beckett could pilot some powered exoskeleton.

But I sincerely hope those segments of the game will still be first-person? Because switching from first-person to third-person literally breaks the pace of the game. It would be so cool if you are literally in the mech instead of a camera floating behind it.

That is what I liked so much about the original F.E.A.R. Practically everything was done in first-person. That made those helicopter-scenes look so fantastic!
