I'm with d2r, I preferred the old HV over the Hammerhead. While the hammerhead makes a satisfying noise, the old HV was lighter and more accurate.

Plus it's WAY easier to make jokes about Penetration.

I guess it 's overpowered but it still takes alot of skill to learn the asp.Specially close shots.And that happens alot.Asp and sniper takes skill.So people deserve respect once they become good at it.Even if it seems an overpowered weapon.It seems like all the guns are overpowered anyway.But no matter what it also seems that the semi auto is the best gun.And thats what this thread is all about.Simply what is the best gun on F.E.A.R. 2

From a performance view, I'd say the ASP in both FEARs but if I just want to have fun I go with the automatic shotgun, the most satisfying weapon to shoot someone in the face with. The AR in 2 is just too inaccurate for me to tolerate.

I love both shotguns. Simply because slowmo + shotgun + line of bad guys= being shot in a beautiful dance of blood and ammo.

The shotgun is really the stay down weapon. I remember in the very second level, the enemies were all kind of standing in a line. And I took my shotgun and shot them all the way down the line. It was pretty funny, beautiful, and it really told them stay down.


For if there are to many enemies and they already spotted me I like the Assualt Rifle and Grenades.

The semi auto is the best hands down....hold limited amount of bullets per round so you have to master blasting and getting out of there to reload without dying and another thing is if you can get a head shot or kill 2 or 3 people at the other side of the map scoped in..thats skill. I have mastered the gun and can take out atleast 3 people at a time 95% of the time. If you can do close combat with it, thats mad skill as well. The shotguns are over rated, they have too much range and the pulse rifle is rediculous and stupid and the napalm cannon has the range of a sniper its pathetic. All the auto guns you just hold a trigger and move back and forth. Wheres the skill in that? Im sure xbox live semi users will agree with me.

SP I'm going with the 10 gauge pump shottie and the .50 rifle. You've got your short range covered and your mid to long range. They are slower, sure, but there is no comparison to the satisfaction of blasting the absolute shit out your foes.

MP The ASP is for cheats. Sorry people, it is. Sure it takes skill to get used to but once you get it, its one blast and that's it. Wheres the skill? All you need to do is land all three rounds and you've got the kill.
My vote is Hammerhead. Taked a LOT more skill and when you've got her figured out, you'll be pinning people to the wall all day.

But I think the once that surpasses all is the EPA. Mass Destruction is all it can do and I love every second of it. Smearing enemies across the pavement, plastering them to the wall, and just plain ol' stompin' around town.

hmmm, it depends really doesnt it?
i like smg, assault rifle and asp, but in 1on1s against ppl really good with asp, its got to be asp, because they just camp and use distance to their advantage, upclose, its assault allday. drop a man fast as f**k, i usually start with asp then go to smg and start flanking. (very sucessfully)

10mm HV Penetrator was to me the best nail gun ever-I would rather use that in F.E.A.R. 2

Other than that I didn't like it. I could shoot a Replica three times in the head with it and not kill them. I'll have my submachine gun thanks.
