What is the best weapon in F.E.A.R. 2 ?

I would have to say semi auto.

I feel the assault rifles look is really good and I like the scope on it so i'd say it's my favorite weapon. I feel that the pulse rifle is the most creative weapon though. Shout out to the sniper. It rocks

In MP, the ASP (semi auto rifle) has the biggest killing potential. But personally I preferred the assault rifle for ease of use. The SMG is pretty sweet if you want to have heavy armour though.

From an SP perspecitve, the Assault Rifle, since it's a superb all-around weapon and doesn't go through the obsolescence problem that the SMG, SHO, and a lot of other weapons do (i.e. it's consistently available throughout the game instead of being phased out or appearing sporadically).

The Assault Rifle, for the reasons d2r said. It's powerful, accurate, has plenty of ammo throughout the game and it sounds and looks better than the original.

I'm going to dispute the "better" part. It wasn't worse, but it wasn't better either. It was just different.

It had more oomph in the sound department. The G2A2 (and RPL, for that matter) sounded rather flat to me.

I'm going to dispute that with the G2A2, which had a plainly "harder" sound than its Project Origin counterpart. Even money on the SMG.

And the new one is technically more realistic. So I can appreciate it in that department. Thing of it as the Yin to the G2A2''s Yang.

Eh, depends on how you have your sound set up, what type of speakers, subwoofer/no subwoofer, etc. They both sound good, but the PK takes better advantage of my bass, so I'm going with that one.

And my favorite gun has got to be, without a doubt, the Hammerhead. GET NAILED!
